The day those towers fell The world cried out in pain And though our eyes looked strong and tough We were sure we would never be the same The day we saw the smoke Many had given up for sure But still a hope flickered in the dark And we held on for nights a-many more The day we heard the news We cried in our mothers’ arms And we prayed day and night That there would be no more harm The day those towers fell. We all put on a brave face And till this day, 6 years later We’re still trying to soothe that ache
