Rosa Parks was a black woman who refused to give up her seat to a white woman She died recently at her home and was mourned by millions of people all over the world. For her act of defiance, Mrs. Parks was arrested, convicted of violating the segregation laws and fined $10, plus $4 in court fees.
"I think Rosa Parks was a nice person who didn’t care what the rules of the city were; she thought everyone should be treated equally."
Ms. Parks taught us a big lesson: Just because a person is not the same color as you doesn’t mean you have to treat them badly or disrespect them.
